Lepanthes Saltatrix
Oh... what a cute little guy and apparently very easy to bloom. I've got a couple of new leaves and all I did was stick it in my terrarium. It went to town all on its own. Purchased just about a month ago.
I'm surprised how fast the spike grew, as this leaf had no spike on it when I bought it. I assumed that it had already spiked because it was quite large compared to the other leaves on this plant. One minute, it was just a leaf. The next, there was this adorable little flower. So cute!
The leaf that is pictured is no bigger than the pad of my thumb.

Lepanthes Saltatrix
Thanks Rosie!
I don't think you will be disappointed with this plant. I've seen pictures of this plant growing like a carpet in a large gladware container. The leaves stay small, but the plant can take up quite a bit of room, I didn't realize that when I got mine. I'll have to work on keeping it contained to its spot in my terrarium.
It seems to be really easy to grow though. I mean like, a newbie could do it easy, which is what I am, so that works for me!!

I think I would like a few more myself. I love most things in this alliance, so I want to try to have a good variety of them in my terrarium, but I wouldn't mind having another one of these in there if I had the space and certainly, if I set up another one, a piece of this will go in there.

Quite an unusual plant....so tiny but with amazingly lovely flower. The color and form is unique coming out from the heart shaped leaf to frame its glory.
