This is the best shot I could take with the lens I have.
The picture quality isn't good only because the flower is absolutely tiny. I would have to have other equipment for better magnifying power.
The lip is a bit more evident in this photo, but the edges in the photo are hazy. It's still discernible only because the lip is a dark burgundy. In the photo it is between the sepaline tails and appears as a burgundy triangle. The lip, however, is not necessarily triangular. To find out what the lip looks like, the magnification needs to be stronger.
It's funny how this frontal shot of a Scaphosepalum verrucosum flower makes it look like it has eyes.
