Created locally, I'm told the whole thing was sort of an accident. Apparently the woman who made this cross didn't know much about Masdevallia's and decided to pair a couple and see what came of it... and it was this.

I picked up this plant at the Pacific Orchid Expo. It wasn't for sale - it was part of an awarded display - but I asked nicely.

I'm considering using it to make my own cross. We will see.

Not a perfect picture but you get the idea!

Wow I love it, perhaps it should not be an accident. And what will you be paring it with? Goodness it would be so exiting to be able to make your own cross.

I have a few ideas of things I'm considering making. Still deciding what I want to try first. I don't want to let the cat out of the bag yet though! Stay tuned in a couple years haha

Wow, that's gorgeous! What were the parents? Maybe you should pair it with something orange, though I have no idea if colours are passed down so that they can blend.

Quite the happy "accident"! Excellent color. Now only if it was a warm grower ....
