Masdevallia erinacea
So, just putting an update of this little guy, last time it was in bloom it only had 2 spikes on it... its been a couple of months and now it has 9 !!!!!!! , still waiting for half of them to open so
now I will have to update it again if they open at the same time its beautiful!!!
Also soon has anyone heard of an orchid bloom opening for a couple of days, then closing up for a month then re opening again?>>>??? it happened with my Haraella odorata, and its opened again for about a week this is the bloom that reopened.. solo just wondering.

Amazing flowers! You have a large specimen to produce many blooms. I love the color and form.

Awesome Hector, your erinacea is growing really great and is huge by now! Amazing, the number of the spikes is sweet!

WOW! Awesome job
I keep wondering why my M.Erinace hasn't well ever bloomed...I have had this little plant for 10 plus years now and have never once seen a bloom. After looking up some info I wonder if it couldn't be it isn't warm enough? It does get fed, it has new growth but never a bloom.
As to the Haraella I had one that did that once...now my other one has 3 spikes one growing from the old spike with 2 new flower buds on one of the spikes..I have not seen this before either so...hmm lol not sure they seem happy though!
Both my Masd. and the Haraella are not in vivariums but in a window filtered light full of orchids hanging everywhere...

Great job blooming it. Love the spatula shaped tips. I have Haraella on order from Andy's. Hope I can get it to bloom.

Very nice. I have never heard or seen any orchid flowers open, close for a while and then open again. Sorry.
