You know how these things sometimes grow and the leaf doesn't break open its sheath as the leaf grows bigger, and the leaf starts to fold over?

Any tips on how to prevent this? If you don't know what I mean, I can take a picture.

Can you maintain decent air humidity?

grows in a greenhouse - pretty constant around 60% RH. Hard to get above that for me right now.

Not sure that is the issue, but maybe... it seemed to grow faster than the little green sheath wanted.

Humidity & air flow in general, but I've also seen it when the plant isn't kept moist enough - I suppose they all relate to each other.

You can break the sheath manually, if you want.

I still maintain that sometimes, plants don't grow 'perfectly'. If you are having this issue all the time, then it might need to be addressed. If it just happens once in a while, it's considered somewhat 'normal'.

I have had this happen to my masdies when they had low humidity also. 60% might not be good enough.

My first thought was humidity, but if that is high then it might be that the medium is too dry. It looks OK in the picture though so not sure.
