euplusia, so many thanks and yes, I must admit, as with astroophora, with alata the macro pictures show their true beauty. However, your pictures are always so gorgeous as well!

Thanks for sharing pictures. This one, grobyi, and Lepanthopsis astrophora are at the top of my list. Any recommendations for similar minis? Also, how often does alata bloom for you?

seaj, as astrophora, alata blooms pretty much often through out the year, I would say it has some spike every month so far. I love also Scaphosepalum rapax, very similar look to alata, little bit bigger, spiking like crazy all the time. And than the list can go, Lepanthes calodictyon, lepanthes telipogoniflora , Pleurothallis leptifolia etc:-)
