Just divided this guy - now have 3 different plants, all with 2-3 blooms. Its doing quite well!

Lovely flowers....the color is unique and festive. The curling back of the flower form causing the tails to cross each other is what I also observed in other pictures I found on the net.

Gorgeous!

Just a note that the name is Masdevallia Monarch without the quotes. I know it seems picky and I don't mean to be but quotes indicate a cultivar name or clonal name, but this is a Hybrid/Grex. It means we can tell from the name exactly what the species are in it's parantage (macrura x veitchiana), a cultivar name doesn't tell us that
