I've just replaced mine over the weekend. I grew the last one in a globe and it did well for a while then I think the globe got to hot in the sun and it died. Like you I put it on the 'try again' list.

The new one I bought at the weekend is going to be grown hanging off the side of a vase, on the inside of the vase, with water (and stones for decoration) at the bottom.

I have been growing Harella retrocalla that way successfully. The Harella was wrinkling before I put it in the vase, but is spiking now. I hope the Lepanthes likes it as well.

Rosie, I am happy you were able to get another one! I'm sure that it will love your new setup, especially if the Harella is thriving. If you get a chance I would love to see pictures.

nikkik, those plants are looking good!

This thread inspired me to give L. calodictyon a shot. It's mounted, sitting on a bed of moss, in a hanging glass orb. It's been growing vigorously, sending out loads of new growth and blooming non-stop.
