I never knew that some Restrepias make their flowers on the back of their leaves. How weird.

It looks like the flower is mimicking an insect crawling on the leaf...do we know if this indeed the case?

It does look like a bug on the leaf. I'll have to find this plant and add it to my collection. It's gorgeous

I'm going to have to look out for some of these and get some more Restrepia. A nursery I like visiting always has a lot of Restrpia, one of their employees is a particular fan of them I think. I don't get to go very often as it's several hours from here, but will keep a special eye out for ones like this next time.

I just brought home a tray of Pleuros to babysit for a friend, and this Restrepia is one of the plants!! I am so excited.
These guys need a little greenhouse love and I hope to be able to talk the owner of the plant out of a division or perhaps a trade.
