Masdevallia ignea 'Strawberry'
Yep a nice pink one. Not a bad shape but not great either, the colour is really striking. This is the second time I've had it flower with two flowers, and that's the most I've had at one time.
Grows cool of course. Now just in case you are wondering, the leaves were in poor condition when I bought it and I took a risk........it will improve over time. The colour and the definition in the markings was hard to capture but hopefully the photos are close enough.

I actually do like it very much:-) Thanks for sharing the pics. BTW, what is causing the leaves to be like this? Is it when it gets too much heat? I received mine some 2 months ago and it had some leaves like this, it is not yelllowish, so it is not fungus, and they did not get any worst, just staying like this, brown.

While I prefer the fiery colors more typical of the common ignea, the coloration of this variety is indeed eye-catching. One of those species I will never grow in all likelihood -- simply can't provide them with the temps they need.

Leaves are like that due to either heat or too much fertiliser but it is not fungus. I would say heat judging by the climate it was sent to me from. I will give it protection in summer during the hotter weather but winter here is perfect for it. It's growing in bark but I will change to sphagnum moss when I repot next month.

Really nice. Now that I'm in New York instead of Florida, I'm going to try to grow a couple of these and a Dracula. I really hope it works out!

Good luck growing them, I prefer sphagnum moss with cooler temps and great air movement. As long as you have these things you should be fine.
I do not recommend bark or coconut at all.
