This one is another large Masdevallia. The flower is quite large. The spike grew toward the greenhouse wall and curved downward when it ran into it. I didn't even see the bloom until it was almost full. For these pics I had to clip the inflorescence to a rod I could get a good shot of the flower face.

Your Monarch plant must be much larger than mine; I've yet to see mine bloom...very nice colors.

It's a pretty good sized plant in leaf size. It has a massive root system and is in a 5" pot. This one was the first one to spike. The others haven't graced me with their floral presence.
