I'm in Salem. I liberated plants from Feb to April. In April I made a deal and bought everything that remained. David was more than kind and generous. I wish I had gotten more Masd. I ended up with quite a few restrepia and Dracs. Those are the 3 Genus I am most interested in.
I have a good deal of duplicates and some not marked Masdevallia, Dracula and Restrepia. I'm holding the unmarked until they bloom for positive identification. I have a good idea of the species that might be there. Are you interested in trading?
I have quite a few young plants, divisions and starts in the Pleuro group too.
I'll be selling some of these off in the Fall and Spring to thin out the benches and add the plants I want to specialize in.
I need to finish the database entry to get a full account of everything in there. I just finished repotting everything last month. They were all in desperate need in that regard. They have bounced back beautifully.
Let me know if you are interested in anything in particular.
Presently I have Masd. Monarch, Genie, closeii, Decade, Falcata, Circe in bud or bloom. and a couple of others. One that is an unmarked species. I am excited about that one!
well, enough of my rambling.....

Adam,
I presently have one positive ID Decade. Maybe there will be others, I don't know. If this one sends off enough new growth, I may divide.
I too prefer the species over hybrids. But honestly there are some really great hybrids out there.
I've gotten a few plants form Ecuagenera. I picked up an order at the Portland show... it was less than disappointing. The gentleman handed me the bag and said, "they look like they got a little cold, they'll be alright." I took them without giving it a second thought. After bringing them home and potting, every one lost almost all their leaves. The Dryadella finally started new growth, Drac psyche has 2 leaves and no new growth, Gongora finally started a leaf after it lost all of them, Restrepia contorta may not make it, Porrglossum is doing okay and the Dresserella died. I believe the plants in my bag may have been exposed to freezing temps. The additional plants I purchased from them at the show are doing fine, including Masd. closeii who is blooming.
I probably should have complained about the plants, but I didn't. Oh well, I may purchase from them again at some point.
But, until I thin out my benches I won't be purchasing much of anything!

I had the same exact thing happen to me; previous orders have been fine, but not the one that I picked up in PDX; about half of what I ordered was frozen en route; I asked him the pick out replacements from his stock at the table, which he did, and they are doing fine; my dresslerella appeared fine, but all the leaves fell off about 24hrs after I got home... I'll order from Ecuagenera again I'm sure, but I've really gotten hooked on Gary Meyer's plants from Colombia & PefuFlora (I just got a big box from PeruFlora this afternoon)
I'm not quite to the point of thinning, but I'm dreading repotting next spring...

Shipping is less when ordering from Gary Meyer (Colombian Orchid Imports); he brings plants in on his own import permit to his home in SF and then ships them up; it's typically $12-15, the bulk of his plants are comparable in price to Ecuagenera before the $2 handling fee they impose, most are larger imho. PeruFlora charges a documentation fee of 10% and shipping of 12% I believe, unless you order over $1000, then I believe shipping is gratis. PeruFlora won't be in the US again until next year, they had their last show this weekend. Gary Meyer is importing one more time, his deadline is mid-August with mid-October delivery.
