This is a division of one of the Masdies I got in March of last year - my first venture into Masdies. The plant was easily big enough to divide, so I did - to try different potting media and windowsills to see which did best for me. Plant was not in bloom when I got it. First blooms on both divisions were awful! The second time around, blooms were somewhat better, but were "special" - had some extra parts on them
Finally! Got a reasonable looking bloom! Could probably be a bit better, but it's a big improvement! I was afraid the plant was going to be a dud ...
Growing in chc, clay pot, north facing window (the other division is potted the same, but in a shaded east facing window - that also has a fairly decent bloom, but past it's prime now).
I'm hoping one, or both, of these will kick into gear soon, and give me more than one bloom every few months - especially the bigger division ...
Photos are poor - hard to capture the colors; my for reals camera has died, not that it's a very good camera - I actually frequently get better photos with my phone, but depends on the light; the bloom isn't in the ideal position for photographing ...
The last two photos are the previous "special" blooms from November ... can see the colors better at least
