That sure is a beauty! I'm planning to increase the number of Masdies I have so that I can plant them outside in all the rocks we have (and they're super easy to grow here in SF).

That's a real beauty! I'll have to keep an eye out for that one. I have Andean Prince, but It doesn't bloom well.

Did you get it from Zygopedilum?
I bought a couple of things from them off ebay and they are excellent. I got a yellow miltonopsis and a mtdm Cindy Pinky Lee. Beautiful, healthy plants. They have a large selection of vandaceous orchids but I sure wish they would provide photos.

That is superb, Bud. One of the best crosses I've seen recently.

Vanda - Yes I did I had 2 plants die due to cold shipping and he was great about replacing them. I found the listings on ebay.ca and they had pictures with them. the replacements came just yesterday hoping they will make it as they had even colder/long temps during shipping but somehow they look better. If these don't make it he's willing to hold until warmer weather and send me replacements again(which I tried to do with these ones but failed to get in touch in time)

Thank You, Ron !

I was glad to flower my Masdies....I have a hard time getting them to flower. It must be the cooler temps I tried to give them this time.

These plants are temperature tolerant but I did not subject them to 90's temps this summer....I put them near the AC where the highest temps was 75 to 85 degrees in my east facing bedroom window=they have 50 to 80 this year so it bloomed....I follow the Masdevallia culture religiously added an electric humidifier with oscillating fan....easy on fertilizer= the roots might burn=I feed it every other week. Too much water will also kill it.

Your zone is ideal to grow Masdies....I think you must read on its culture and follow them religiously....
