Default Masdevallia glandulosa

An Ecuadorian and Peruvian, miniature to small sized, cool growing species.
My plant starts blooming now, firts bloom is almost open.
Here is a close-up ... quite different looking masdevallia flower with cinnamon scent and those funny nodules on it.

That's certainly different! A wonderful colour too

On a Masdevallia, is most of the visible flower the sepals?

Yes, the most visible part of flowers are sepals, masdevallias have just tiny petals and lip.

Oh wow, what a gorgeous looking flower. I so want a glandulosa but my conditions are on the very warm side and I killed one already.

I think I'll have to try again, maybe in a cool clay pot if the flowers are this pretty and smell nice to boot!
