Default Masdevallia Red Wing

Masdevallia Red Wing has a big purple flower. Flower size is from "antenna" to antenna 14 cm.

The parents are M. coccinea and M. infracta. A good looking flower and also a shape is fine.

Enjoy !

I've often wondered at the name 'Red Wing'. Most you see are orange or orange-red and now we have a purple.
That is a lovely flower. You certainly have some nice masdies.

The caudae (antenna) are very straight. I see a lot of these that are very twisted. I have to say the colour is possibly the best I've seen as well.

Thanks Bolero !

I also think that this plant has a good color and nice shape of flowers. ( it was quite expensive) due to its nice form and color.
