This is my M. caudivolvula which you either like or you don't I think, what you cannot deny is it's unusual twisted petals. In growth the flowers buds look like any other orchid until the flower actually unfurls and twists in it's final days of opening.

I like it...three corkscrews in a flower, what can go wrong with that design? It is well engineered by nature but I am puzzled as to what purpose?
