lepanthopsis acuminata
This is an absolute tiny one, and unfortunately I don't have an amazing macro lens yet but I managed to get some decent shots... a close up of the flower with a little friend for reference. that gnat like fly is well, gnat size to give you an idea on size...
there are group of similar flowered species of the genus, this one has fairly good color... like many lepanthopsis, they are fairly easy, handle warmth, don't require temp drop to bloom, and flower throughout the year. They do need lots of water and need an enclosure.

Looks fantastic! Congratulations!
I know how difficult it is to get good pictures, even with my cheap macro lens. Sometimes, I just don't bother. :| I think, though, you did quite well. The flowers really look crisp.

Sweet little thing! Yet another one for my wish list.
If you don't want to cough up a few hundred quid for a good macro lens, consider a set of screw-on caps like these: http://shootflyshoot.com/wp-content/...ro-Filyers.png
Bought mine off flea bay for a tenner, works a charm, especially for that price. All photos in the "a few micro shots" thread are taken with the +10 lens.

Very nice! I really enjoy these teeny bloomers even if they require a magnifying glass to see clearly. Your pictures are excellent.

Thanks everyone!
If i could I'd JUST grow the micro's I'd love it... but ya know I always end up with "others" too LOL
Troll, coincidentally I used a screw on for these shots! funny eh? yeah an a good macro lens would be easily 8-900 US$ and that's for mid level... sometimes it comes down to orchids or camera (or other stuff)... guess what wins out... anyway, the screw on doesn't do too bad, in fact I like the results better sometimes than true macro, but I can't a full depth at a macro level for things as small as this lepanthopsis.
Loved your macro shots, thanks for pointing your post out! i so easily miss posts here because of how it's all set up here

That is so cute, I love it. I too just can't swing a good camera right now.
