Thanks Ron. My growing area is a pretty constant 73/55, but I haven't been growing any of it long enough to notice how the constant temps would affect growth and flowering.

Your temps should be ideal. Perhaps the problem is a lack of humidity or air movement????

Ron, I have no idea why, but I kill Masdies in a matter of days. I have various Lepanthes species growing in there both mounted and potted, Dracula olmosii mounted, a few Restrepias both mounted and potted, and a few Pleurothallis species. All of these grow well, and the ones that are large enough bloom.

I'm very tempted to give this one a try in either a net pot or a tiny unglazed clay pot because this is an incredibly beautiful species.

If you are growing the others, I would think you would do well with the Masdevallias, too. Perhaps a little more air movement for them would help. That has always seemed of extra importance to me with them in preventing leaf drop.

Now that you mention it, the smaller plants are furthest away from the fan and protected by the other vegetation from strong air movement. I'll give one a try in a less protected place and see what happens. Thanks for all the advice!

Thanks Ron,

Yes it is, but much more comunting leaving less time for Orchids and Orchid Board. I think I'm finding the balance though now

I know the job is more important but hate to see anything take you away from OB.

I now have one day a week working from home... this is only the third week of that, but I'm currently sitting on my sofa reading OB when I would usually be driving to work at this time. About to go and do some watering
