Masd. Machu Picchu
My Masd. Machu Picchu has bloomed for the first time! There is a 2nd bud that should open in the next few days as well. I got this 1 1/2 years ago from Ecuagenera. It's a fairly dark bloom unless there is light shining thru it. I might try another shot in a few days when the sun is shining!

Thanks everyone! This one is a fairly vigorous grower for me. It's potted in moss in a clear plastic pot. I think I might consider using clay for coolness next time I re-pot and may even set this in a clay pot for summer. Last summer it suffered some heat stress and a lot of the leaves got spots as a result. But most of them have been replaced with lovely large green leaves now.

Sweet flower !! I've had that one for a few months now. I almost killed it but it is back on track and now I can't wait to flower it. Good growing.

Thanks Mali. Did you get yours from Ecuagenera? I got a few more Masdies from them this past Feb. in Edmonton at the orchid show.

I got this from another grower in Edmonton and I've had it for almost a year. The only Masdavallia I got from EG at this years show is Masdavallia Mendozae.
