Default stelis orbicularis

I had never heard of this species, but it was so small I just had to try growing it. It's the 1st blooming for this plant, and it's very hard to photograph. It's in an int./warm terrarium.

Thank you. I know now that I have to invest in a tri pod. I can't keep holding my breath every time I take a picture

I started with my iPhone...so I guess holding my breath is a new learned technique from you.

This looks much more like a Trichosalpinx than a Stelis to me - actually after looking it up, it is found under both names, but I think the Trichosalpinx name is more current. Lovely flowers by any name, however.

Thanks Ron. I bought this one from Ecuagenera, and I just go by the name on the tag. It wouldn't be the first one that was 'mislabeled', but it does happen (platystele ortiziana is actually plts. umbellata). My problem is: I fall in love first, then look if I actually have the conditions for it, and last but not least: the name. By then I usually have bought it and don't really care any more.
