Default Restrepiopsis inaequalis

Thought I would share this little orchid that is in flower with you all. The genus is not very common, around 18 species that are similar to Restrepia. This species is very rare and I acquired it by accident. I did not even know that I had the species until it started flowering as it is growing on the same piece of tree fern that my Restrepia lansbergii is attached to. I assumed that they were the one plant. I have not been able to find many of the species of this genus for sale; in fact I cannot find any.

This particular species is only found in three isolated collections in Central America.

It's soooo tiny & the blooms are so delicate and softly translucent. . .and none too common! So Coolio.
