Default Pleurothallis mantiquyrana, mini orchid

This is a small epiphyte species found in the Serra da Mantiqueira and its branches here in the southeast region of Brazil. It would be better named Pleurobotryum mantiquynara instead of Pleurothallis. I don’t know why Kew’s checklist keeps ignoring Hoehne’s work of 1936 that transferred it, along with a few other similar species, to Pleurobotryum. Anyway, it is a cute mini Pleuro (or Botrio!!). All these small Pleurothallidinae grow well mounted.

Very cute. I like the inflorescence very much.
