Masdevallia amabilis vs. central heating

Hello!
Although my growing conditions are not comfortable for masdies at all (window wathcing to south resulting in T 28- up to 22 at night), i was finally tempted to try them out))
Of course, the main problem is overheating of a plant

What would you say about putting M. amabilis in common fridge by night (+5C=43 F). this temperature seems to be ok in Cajamarca, Peru, where they are growing, but i'm frightened with plant reaction for such a quick temperature change...

The plant came to me with flowering spikes, and i in beginning just did nothing, but some of the spikes seemed to suffer from high Temp., and leaves became yellowish - common between masdies in hot. But it gave new growths also. On the other hand, spikes were emerging veeeery slowly
So I decided to try fridge nights - and 2 young growth at once dropped their small leaves
But no other happened

What would you suggest?
(regrettably i have no chance to decrease overall Temp, because living in megapolis i have just one room, with central heating...)

I think the temp change between night and day may be the problem with this idea.

Mine goes down to that sort of temp in the greenhouse at night, but it's then slowly warmed up and only to about 7C-10C most of the winter.

I would grow them in a clay pot with moss, then an outer clay pot with lecca beads between the two pots. Then keep the base (below the level of the moss) wet. This will cause cooling due to evaporation from the clay.

I'm not sure if this will be enough or not, but it helps. I grow mine in the inner clay pot/moss with just a tray of beads underneath to help with temps in the summer. Even with the single clay pot it can feel really cool even in mid summer.
