Are Masdevallia's Dracula's? Female
Default

Hi
I have put 2 masdie's in the glass bowl, and a milt, and a small growing oncidium. I do have a greenhouse, but in the summer it gets quite warm so I thot I would give it a try. It took about a month, but my now my 2 masdie's are sending up new growths. I will be planting the other 2 masdie's in the glass bowl method also.

greenpassion, unfortunatley I am new to Masdie's myself and just now have found the method by which I don't kill them anymore. So I'm afraid I will be of little assistance in your quest for information on your particular one.

However, I would look at what each species need (or both species need in the case of hybrids) to determine the humidity, temp and other factors it would want. You can always find great information from people here, or you might try looking at the Baker's informational sheets at OrchidCulture.com (though there is a minimal fee to purchase these sheets - but it's like $1.00 per sheet or something along those lines).

And yes, the fish/glass bowl method is what I'm using now and I've seen tremendous recovery in my remaining two out of three that I ordered earlier this year. Just wish I had learned the fish bowl method to save my third, lol...
