I adore the little pleuro's and the wacky little plants with some weird looking flowers ( ok so some varieties you seriously need a magnifying glass just to notice) the little flowers.......

So, other than my little collection of Restrepias (5 or so), i was visiting a orchid grower roughly 3 months ago, browsing around his masdevallia growing area, i came across a little pleuro.(truncata i believe) Well as to keep my orchid addiction in tact,, this little guy went home with me.......

straight into my little home- made cool house (well an attempt at a cool - house anyways and just a short few months later, i noticed something happening......... flower spike .......

exciting stuff......so here's a few pic's i had taken...

Ooh, pretty one. Love how the flowers lay down the centre of the leaf like that.

Thumbs up

Spectacular blooms, I was raised in N. NJ (Ridgewood). What conditions does this variety of orchid like? Water, light, etc.

Thanks for sharing,
Larry
