So can you grow Masdevallia in the house i dont have the space for a greenhouse so i cannot do that.

If i can grow them in the house Tell me which plants to avoid trying and most importantly Which plants to try first! thanks a ton guys!

You don't need a greenhouse to grow masdies, infact I purposely keep them out of mine because it's to warm. Most common masdevallias are cool growing and like temps below room temp. Of course there are exceptions but just ask or research if your unsure. I wouldn't worry about that because most masdies you buy online or at a nursery most likely will be common hybrids that are easy to grow and find info on. Good luck

Thanks a lot! i am looking at a few hybrids They are Masdevallia Peach Fuzz (constricta syn urosalpinx X veitchiana)

Masdevallia Machu Picchu (ayabacana x coccinea)

Masdevallia Angel Tang (veitchiana 'Prince deGalle' AM/AOS x tonduzii 'Makawao')

Masdevallia Ken Dole (coccinea v. alba 'Snowbird; AM/AOS x tonduzii 'Makawao')

They are all from parkside orchids! i really love that place! do you know if these ones will be doable? not all of them at once i would want to try one before i bought more. but these are the plants i am looking at. thanks for the help!

I'm not sure about the hybrids you mentioned. They seem like they wouldn't be able to tolerate anything above 85 F.

The ones I mentioned definitely can.

New to Masdevallia. Question Male

My experience with any Masdie mixed with coccinea has been a mixed basket. One has almost completely died because the other things it was mixed with require a much cooler environment. The other one is doing ok, but it's rate of growth is extremely slow.

My suggestion would be to go with species that you definately know. The issue for me was that I assumed the other parts of the hybrids were more Intermediate to Warm growing. Take my experience and don't assume anything - know before you buy it.
