This list also helps me out in my future orchid endeavours.

I am also looking for a warmer growing masdevallia.
After much research I found a few beautiful ones ...hybrids called Masd Peach Fuzz,
Masd Cuzco Gold and Masd Latacunga.
Species Masd. veitchiana is worth a go.

I was just told my Celtic Frost hybrid is warm growing. Surprised me because I was really looking forward to this winter for it to grow for me....

I wouldn't loose hope Tik, sometimes I get the feeling that a Masdie's idea of growing warm is growing as high as 75. Someone please let us know what warm is for warm tolerant Masdies, Thanks.

Here's a great link on Pleurothallids:
http://www.mountainorchids.com/4_pleuro_cult.htm
Warm growth for Masd. 72- 90 (max) degrees daytime.
Ideal nightime temps 62-70 degrees.
Hopes this helps you out!!

I've grown mine outside actually higher than 90F provided the air movement is ok and roots are kept cool but I don't recommend it. Some plants seem pretty tough though.
If it gets to high then I bring them inside until it cools down.
See my other thread as well for more info.

How about M. rolfiana? Thanks. Plus can you give us the name of the book, and or could you please write a user review on the book for ORchid Board? There is a section on Orchidboard for Book Reviews.

Hi Tindomul1of9,
the species listed were only those listed in the book. It does net mean that they are the only ones.
The book is "Miniaturorchideen" by Joern Pinske, AFAIK only available in German.
