That is so darned cool!!! It looks like it's waiting for you to get a closer look and then WHAM! It bites you on the nose. The color is so dark and rich. I love this one.... if only I could grow masdies!

masdies sure are beautifull little critters, and though i have very little knowledge in the field i have surely given it a go.....masd. burfordiense was thus my first and after my first attempt to flower (1bud) and the attack of the slimy hungry night - crawling slug, it was a desaster..... so another season later and a list of slug deterrants i'm once again in bud.......holding thumbs.......

That's a nice species, but it seems to be M. picea.

M. burfordiensis is a synonym to M. angulata.
