Anybody know the culture for Dryadella zebrina? Male
Default Anybody know the culture for Dryadella zebrina?

I know it's from Brazil and that's about it. I just purchased this little one and want to put it in my newly constructed terrarium. It stays at about 80 percent humidity and 60 to 65F. I really know nothing about this particular one orchid though so any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Don't know, but I would quite like to know about it as well.

I bought one in March and I've had it in the greenhouse since then. I keep it slightly damp all the time. I try and keep greenhouse humidity as high as I can as I grow my Masdies in there but in reality it ranges from 40% to 90%+. If it's below about 55% I do all I can to raise it, but I don't always notice.

But as I said, I've only had it since March so not yet sure how well it's doing (though there is some growth).

I'd keep it in the shade, intermediate temps... though I think this is one of the more warmth tolerant species, high humidity. If it's mounted, daily waterings. If not, keep it fairly moist

It grows much like Trisetella gemmata.

Mine is potted in fine bark with some fine perlite... as far as I can tell as I've not repotted, it's in what it came in.

I more usually grow these small pleuro types in moss, but I've not decided yet if that will be best for this or not so I've left it be in the fine bark the nursery had used (it looks in good condition so no urgency to change).

Interesting. Once mine arrives, I plan to attach it to some cork rounds (halved) that are leaning against my waterfall feature in the terrarium (still under construction but ready to actually add the rock to the sides of the structure). I'm thinking it will probably get about 1000 fc's but not sure if that will be enough. In fact, until the waterfall is constructed and the fc's actually measured in the final placement I don't even know that 1000 is the true number yet.
