I take no credit for the bloom, I just got this from Ecuagenera, but I could not be happier.

Beautiful photo. You gotta love the wet look. I'm looking forward to having one of these own me soon.

Another member (King of orchid Growing) posted recently that he detected a faint sweet scent. Do you detect a scent?

Really cool. I was close to buying one of these at the last show I went to but chickened out becuase it was sooo tiny (got Lephanthes calodictyon instead which is only slightly larger).

I love this one more every time I see it! It's definitely on my "Someday when I know I can take care of it" list though, since moving from southwest Washington to Pullman, Washington several times a year makes caring for these more delicate species a bit difficult. lol

If you get them from Ecuagenera they sell glass bulbs which you can grown them in to help keep up the humidity. I got my Lephanthes calodictyon from them while they were in the UK in March and have put it in one of these bulbs. Not yet sure how it will do but I know Laura has also used these for growing.

Thanks for the kind words. I've set up a new terrarium for growing some of these guys, it's got about 20 species in it now, though things are just starting to grow in. There's fans for air circulation and a misting system. All my Lepanthes get indirect spray and high air flow to attempt to avoid rotting.
