I couldn't believe the bright red orange on it either. I started seeing it the night before it opened up. I think this one has the nicest colour of all my Masdies.

Default Updated Picture
Here is an updated picture. As promised by the written description, the lower sepals of this Masdie have folded backwards so as to be a 90 degrees to the dorsal sepal. Just amazing!!! Attached is not the best picture, but you can see what I mean.
