Dracula tubeana Male
Default Dracula tubeana

Hello all:

Found this forum and dived straight into my current favourite group: Pleuros!

Here is Dracula tubeana. The photo doesn't show its nice reddish maroon color well; but I think it has one of the weirdest looks of all the Dracs. It is reputed to have a wide growing range from 300m to 1500m. I grow the plant in the office where the temps are between 20-23 deg C. Notice that there is hardly a big differential drop between day and night. RH is between 60-80RH.

Also, anyone managed to get a viv/terra with peltier cooling to work? Where I live, it is summer in eternity!! 25C at night and around 30-33C day.

I can understand why you put the copyright on the photo but why on top of the flower??

Anyway the flower is of excellent quality......beautifully grown.

I think Dracs are abit weird lookin' but thats what makes them unique - What a great flower, love the shape

It's your photo and you can put the text where you want it, but it does take away from that lovely flower

I love it! I am a huge fan of Dracs however find them difficult to house in an orchid case due to them flowering from below the surface.

That's ok, it's a cool flower. I just thought I would mention it to you just in case it's something you could fix.

The flower is beautiful.
