Default Masdevallia Magic Dragon

This is the second one I have which has flowered recently, the colour is much nicer than the other I believe (I posted it on here somewhere). It's a large plant and I grow it down close to freezing. I don't like minimums above 12C but I will allow up to 15C provided the daytime temps aren't to high for to long.

The maximum summer temperature I have gotten with this plant is 45C which as you can imagine is quite hot.

I allow it to get to 32C and then I bring all my Masdevallias inside my home until the heat passes and then take them back outside again. I grow them in trays so they are easy to move around.

A couple of times it's surpassed my 32C limit with little effect. Humidity is also quite low at times. I think anyone can get a plant to adapt to conditions over time and you just have to work a bit harder to get them to grow well.

That's a lovely plant. Love the blooms. The plant is so nice looking too and all the flowers display in such a balanced way! Great growing!
