Default Masdevallia coccinea 'Sparkling Magenta'

Hi,

I was once told if you grow this consistently over 27C for a period of time it will punish you. Well this is how it's punishing me every year......the colour is sparking magenta (my opinion and the name on the label). So enjoy, it's a beauty, I have had 3 divisions of this flower this year.

I can't really capture the colour well but it's a really vivid magenta colouring.

It's gorgeous. Certainly seems happy whatever temps you are keeping it in.

Nice color. Those spikes are really long! Not used to seeing Masdies with such long spikes.

You are the master!!
That is one gorgeous plant!! I bet your humidity and ventilation are really really good. I see moss and ferns growing in the pot. Congrats!
Tell me, how much light does it get?

It gets one layer of sandstone shade cloth in winter and two layers in summer.

Yeah the moss and ferns grow well also......ha ha ha.

Not the master but thanks for your compliment. I am certainly getting better.
