Masdevallia Blue Angel
3 flowers this year, it's pretty but will never win any prizes for shape. I like it though, I bought it for the unique colour.

Whats wrong with the shape, its just different. I know I like the shape, and the colour. Very nice and thanks for sharing.

Lovely color!
Becca, judges generally prefer a much more triangular shape

The sepals at the bottom curl under and also a bit to uneven. But the flower and the dorsal are pretty good. I have to somehow get it flatter. The colour is much better in person but I always have trouble photographing it.

I guess from the picture it is hard to tell the sepals are uneven. Personally, I like the look of the sepals curling under, but without a comparison of one with flat sepals, it is hard to say which I would like the best. Thanks for helping, it always great to have some insight from a judge!
