Default Blooming Masdevallia colossus 'Cascade' X Masdevallia goliath 'Seattle'

Ok, it looks as though this is the extent of how much it will open. I thought it would open more from the pictures online, but maybe the pictures are not accurate????
I love it, its really nice looking, darkish red, and you can see the influence from M. goliath with the yellowing tips of the sepaline tails and the connate (fused) lateral sepals. If you look up M. colossus the colours and fusion of the sepals are different.

The three pictures are because I was playing around with background, ambient light and camera settings. I had to play with the camera settings to get the best match of colour for the photograph and real life (the first two pictures)

Thanks! I just sniffed it and it smells a little like cheese. But I have to bury my nose in it.
