Not exactly a prolific bloomer (one flower last year and two this year) but it is a stunning colour. The second flower has just opened and doesn't have the same width as the first flower.

I grow cold in winter and keep it in an open shade house in summer. It's better to keep them under 30C where possible, lower is ideal but they tolerate higher temps.

I think the ideal conditions would be between 6C and 27C, humidity at least 70% if possible all of the time and very good air movement.

It grows in sphagnum moss and perlite, plastic pot under shade cloth outside all year round.

That is gorgeous. The colour is electric! I have just ordered my first two masdie's from Ecuagenera in Ecuador. I chose Masd. Machu Pichu and Masd. Veitchiana x Masd. Cooper Angel. They are coming to Canada for an orchid show in Oct. in Calgary and are bringing a plant order for our society.

Here is my Machu Pichu........

The colour really can't be captured and this is a division of an awarded plant but I am sure you can see the potential. It is one elegant flower.

That Machu Pichu is electric as well! I hope mine comes and that I can grow it well. I shouldn't have a problem keeping it cool in winter at least.
