Suggestions for beginner Restrepias?
Hi all;
I'm looking for recommendations for beginner Restrepias.
I've become enamoured with Pleurothallids since I received my first, Masd. cosmia, as a door prize at my local orchid society earlier this year. I now have four Masdies which have all been doing very well.
This past Tuesday I saw my first Restrepias; antennifera, brachypus, and escobariana at same orchid society and I'm looking for easy to obtain, first plants. The person who brought them in recommended contorta, cuprea, guttulata, and muscifera as good starter plants.
Does anyone have any additional recommendation?

As far as easy to grow they are all easy plants IMO.

Cuprea is rewarding for the ease of growth and the size of the blooms.

I like cuprea, sanguinea and guttulata for big showy blooms. Some of the cute little orange stripey ones (antennifera complex) are great, too. They bloom more than the big ones. I'm not wild about muscifera, but it blooms all the time.

I enjoy my antennifera. I've only had it a little while but it seems to be doing well for me so far. I've had it bloom once over the summer for me so it can't be too difficult.

I seem to do well with all of them but i have especially done well with brachypus so give this one a go for sure.
I have a photo of it i think on this forum somewhere !

It was still in my album so here it is , this should give you a idea of what can be achieved with these lovely under estimated orchids .
I never new they could grow and be like this ,well i do now and now have more in my collection .
