Try a medium to large sized species of Masdevallia from low to mid elevations.

Masd infracta might be a good one to start with or Masd princeps.

Or try some of the hybrids like 'Angel Frost', 'Celtic Frost', 'Angel Tang', Angel Tears', 'Angel Heart', or Copper Angel'. They're easy to grow and have nice showy flowers with good presentation.

Cheers.
