Lepanthes telipogoniflora
I just can't get over how this bud keeps growing! I thought it would be in bloom a week ago.
The whole family has been paraphrasing Sir Mix-A-Lot about this one: "I like big buds and I just can't lie..."
Really excited to see it open!
Looks like the flower will be as big as the leaf (1/4" or so).
Appears to be more forgiving than most Lepanthes - really pretty easy to grow. It's mounted in a little block of tree fern with some sphagnum around the roots. I water it daily. I got it from Orquideas del Valle ( Untitled Document).

These are pretty neat aren't they?
The bud is going to open up soon.
I find these to be one of the easiest Lepanthes to grow as well. That's kinda ironic considering that it's one of the smaller Lepanthes of the bunch.
Nice growing. Good luck with it!

Duane,
I've looked at their website and there's some great stuff there, but their fees are VERY high. Do you do group orders or know of any others who want to combine on an order?

Hey, folks! It's open! I never knew how intricate the inside of this bloom was. Beautiful little petals... Lots of room for other plants, too!

Shipping is $30 for most orders - they ship whenever they're in the US. Probably the best way to get around this would be to get a group together and get over $1,000. Then the discount equals the shipping cost. One downside of a group order would be that someone would have to re-ship the orders, which could be somwhat expensive. Another downside would be that with the little guys, less time out of super-high humidity = greater success. That said, I'm always down for a group order.
I'm going to Ecuagenera December 26th and am thinking about doing a group order from them while I'm there...

I also. But, Duane, the website of the Colombia people mentions $150 for certificates and other costs as well, or arethose not applicable when they ship from the USA?

When they ship from the US, the phyto and CITES charges do not get tacked on. It's just the straight up $30 shipping.

out of curiosity, can you get such paper work without a lawyer, or some other professional agent, and what are the costs like for such paper work?
