Thanks, Tindo. It's really a bit more than a terrarium - it was purpose built for my miniatures.

Yes I saw. In a real terrarium there is no way you could fit so many plants. THis is obviously a well thought out growing case. My only problem would be in keeping everything cool, in the temperature range you said you have. Especially with the lighting, im not sure I understand how the plexiglass keeps the heat away. Do you incorporate fans to blow the heat away also?

Tindo,
The temperatures are regulated by the temp of the room and that by the windows of the room. It helps that it's a basement room and that we live in an area where the temps are very moderate. The plex sheet between the lights and the growing area helps keep the heat of lights away from the plants. It did not include exhaust fans in this case, but wish I had. If you look at the second picture you'll see that there are exhaust fans in the older case. Even though I've built two of these there are still some changes I would make and may make.

Thanks, Keith. I've always grown my miniatures under lights and believe they do as well or better that way than in a greenhouse.
