My new Masdevallia.
After a long time. I finally got myself a new Masdevallia. Masdevallia andreetaeana.
Since this is a relatively new addition, I'm not too familiar with this plant.
It was so exotic and whimsical with the lip that resembles a serpent's tongue, that I had to get one.
Hopefully it will do well.
Enjoy!

Very nice! Named after one of well known Masdie collectors, you have a nice species there. Good luck with it.

I'm not familiar with Masdevallias at all but that's a cool looking bloom.

Okay...
One thing's for sure, this guy doesn't like excessive heat. Anything above 90 F is going to stress it out big time. They won't necessarily die, but they get the dreaded leaf spotting.
Stupid 3 day heat wave! Grrr!

Very nice, reminds me of a mushroom too. I guess it wouldn't make it here since it's been in the 100's a lot lately.
