Hinged Insect-trapping Lip
Porroglossum teaguei, like all the Porroglossums, has a mobile lip that trap insects against the column, thus effecting pollination.
For more pictures including one of this unique flower with the lip closed, see Orchids and Serendipity: What's Blooming?

Wow, that is so cool. What a great almost transparant colour, and I just love those tails!
P.S. The tumbnail is showing a flickr message that it is not available, but it works when I click on it.

Fascinating and wonderful!
Is it difficult to care for?

Not really, especially if the roots are healthy and intact. They're very sturdy. If you can grow Pleurothallis, you can grow Porroglossums. They're a bit more critical of humidity in order to bloom correctly.
Have you grown Pleuros before?

Not yet. But they are becoming very appealing and thus I must know more! Trying to decide what to get in the future.

I think think it's made the wish list Still got to do my research though, but that's half the fun.
Thanks again for sharing the pics!
