Produz muitas flores por bulbo, flores pequenas, menos de 0,5cm, de um agradavel perfume.
Floresce novamente em bulbos antigos.
O gênero Anathallis foi desmenbrado do gênero Pleurothallis em 2004, e o nome vem do grego anathallos, que significa desprovido de ramificações.
