Feeding these babies !

I have trawled the forum and found lots of photos of Masdevallia ,Restrepia -Pleuros !.

So lots are collecting them , what feed ? strength ? & frequency are you giving them ?
Have you seen any leaf tip die back /burnt roots -if so at what strength ?

I am intending to feed at 125 ppm N /MSU /RO water ,don`t know what frequency yet ?

As I said it in the section Advanced Discussion 60 ppm N three times per month is sufficient for Masdies. It is the regime I have adopted since many years successfully.

Thanks for that , i am also thinking how far they can be pushed and i don't want to be messing around with different feed strengths for different genera , but am only going to find out for myself i suppose within my own conditions .
It is a learning curve i have to go through i think, to be able to view my own opinions with msu & feeding .
So i will have a good idea where i am come autumn

I think that's to strong maybe if there in a bark mix but don't let them dry out at all or you'll lose roots. Most of mine are in clay pots with chopped spag 1/4 teaspoon MSU 1 or 2 times a month. I found it's better not to try to push Masd & Draculas. They will be doing just fine then for what ever reason you slip up & they dry out then boom salts on dry roots leaves drop off & you've lost the Plant. Just my thinking.

Very simple care from this grower. Fed 1/8 tsp 20-20-20 per gallon of water from a dehumdifier when the post are nearly dry. The mix is half sphag and half med bark. Never any discoloration on the leaf tips and all bloom happily at least twice a year.
