Oh, Sue!!

What do the roots look like? Masdies drop their leaves when the roots can't sustain them any more.

You are right, you'll just have to get another one! I just read an old article in the AOS Bulletin (circa 1980-something) about warm-tolerant Masdie species. I'll go dig it up again.
