Thanks Susanne, you know what? I actually have a shortcut on my desktop to your gallery because I must have been browsing through your gallery and didn't quite finish looking through them all first time around!

Sue, you are the gallery hog! I thought I had a lot of photos. Perhaps you should look into organizing them by types of photos. 1 Album for Phals, 1 for Catts, 1 for Vandas, etc........

Great growing, Sue! This one is now known as Zahleria zahlbruckneri... another segregate Masdevallia
Typically, mounted Masdevallia (and segregates), you can see the flowers when they bloom. Sue's species is one of the few exceptions, because it has VERY short, downward-growing inflorescences, which can easily be concealed under roots and pendant leaves... species such as Masdevallia caesia need to be hung vertically and upside down, and the flowers can still be seen. Other species that are mounted, the inflorescence tends to travel downwards, then arch back up to bloom. Some species normally send upright spikes, despite being mounted, such as Mas. caudata.

Great info Pat. Now, you got to tell me where you learn all this stuff.
