Spilotantha polysticta

Do Latim polystictos , " com muita pontos " referencia as manchas em suas flores. Planta nativa da região dos Andes, Ecuador e adjacencias do norte do Peru em altitudes de 2.000 a 2.600 metros em relação ao nível do mar.

Espécie extraida do gênero Masdevallia em 2006 formando este novo gênero.

* Plantinha que me deu um trabalhão para fotografar, está na hora de adquirir uma máquina melhor....

This photo is good enough! Very nice I think. I wonder how well accepted is the change of names for these genera formerly Masdevallia?

Whoops almost forgot. Here is the automated translation that I used. This is a combination from Bing & Google because some bits were better in one and some in the other.
