Default Masdevallia coccinea alba

This is the first blossom for this young plant from Ecuagenera, bought in oct. 2008 (it had only 6 good leaves at that time).

It is not a pure alba form (tips of sepals are a little orange...) but I still really like it

I grow it in semi-hydroponic with the bottom half of the pot filled with hydroton clay pellets, and the top half is live sphagnum moss. Lots of pure water (almost every day as the sphagnum moss evaporates a lot!!!) and cool temperatures (outside from spring to fall on east facing deck, windowsill in winter)
